The Steel are the region's elite netball squad, representing the Southern Netball Zone and  competing for supremacy in one of the world's toughest netball series' - the Trans-Tasman ANZ Championship.

The Burt Munro Challenge

Voted "one of the five festive events you won't want to miss in 2013' by Time Magazine, the annual iconic Burt Munro Challenge marks the achievements of one of Southland's favourite sons with a celebration of motorcycling, racing and cameraderie that attracts motorcyclists, enthusiasts and spectators from around the world. E Hayes are once again proud to be part of the Burt Munro Challenge and pleased to sponsor the Teretonga Sprint Races.

Since 1951, Anderson Park Art Gallery has acquired Southland's largest and most comprehensive collection of visual arts with a strong representation of local work. The pre-eminent exhibition each year is the Spring Exhibition where nationally submitted work is selected from entries and major prizes are awarded. The major prize in the Spring Exhibition is proudly sponsored by E Hayes and Sons.
