New exhibit joins our E Hayes Motorworks Collection
October 7, 2014
Welcome to the latest addition to the E Hayes Motorworks Collection - a 1964 Honda 55 CA105T Trail Bike.
This popular bike was part of Honda's 'revolution' - taking affordable motorcycles to 'the masses' in the early 1960's and the forerunner to the popular CT90 "Postie bike", (due to its use by Australia Post and New Zealand Post as a delivery bike)
The bike is a 54cc 4-stroke OHV single cylinder machine with up-swept exhaust. It has a three-speed transmission with automatic clutch generating 5 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and is fitted with two sprockets for road or off-road use.
This particular model has had one owner from new until purchased recently by Neville Hayes and is now on display in the Hardware Department of our Dee Street store.
